Memphis National Tour

The multi-award winning musical is coming to Orlando at the Bob Carr Performance Arts Centre in May.

Some of the many awards this show won are four 2010 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Inspired by a 1950‘s story that takes place in the underground dance clubs of Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace of rock and roll.

White Radio DJ & Black Club Singer

The tale of two unlikely companions, one the first white radio DJ to play black music who wants to change the world, and a black club singer waiting for her big break, propelled into an affair that challenges their personal hopes and dreams in a world that has no acceptance for their love.

Memphis is irresistible soulful musical, filled with big vocal talent, and songs by Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan and Joe DiPietro.

From the beginning number “Underground” through the rousing finale, the audience will be captivated by the soulful rhythm and blues tones, and some of the best singing and dancing seen on Broadway.

Memphis deals with the serious subject of race and is of historical and social significance but except for a scene with some violence, it sends the audience out on a positive note and can be enjoyed by entire family.

The show is here for six days from May 14-19, 2013, so don’t delay in buying tickets

Get ready to “rock ‘n’ roll”.
