Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical

Mark your calendar for Priscilla Queen of the Desert-The Musical, coming to the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center April 16-21, 2013.

This high-spirited, uplifting, show, based on the 1994 film of the same name, is the story of three friends who hop on a bus in search of love and friendship in the middle of the Australian outback.

During their journey, they experience acceptance and disapproval from a variety of Australian citizens.

Disco Tunes

The show is full of uplifting disco tunes, sung and lip-synched by the stars, including, I Will Survive, Hot Stuff and What’s Love Got to Do With It. 

The dance floor classics, dazzling costumes, glamorous drag queen makeup, and a full size bus that moves on stage, produce an experience a hysterical and emotional musical journey of the heart.

Throughout the show, the trio trades plenty of friendly insults, strong language and sexual innuendos.

Tolerance & Acceptance

Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a musical that demonstrates the importance of family and friends and a message of tolerance and acceptance that may be good for older teens but may not be appropriate for younger children.
