War Horse at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre

War Horse, the winner of the 2011 Tony Award for best play, is embarking on a nationwide tour and will be in Orlando from Feb. 25th, 2014 to March 2nd, 2014 at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.

The play, which chronicles the tale of an English boy and his horse in WWI-era England, is suitable for anyone over the age of 10 and runs 2 hrs, 40 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.

Shows will be held once an evening throughout the week, with additional matinee shows on the weekend.

Albert & Joey

Based on a novel by Michael Morpurgo, War Horse features stunning visual imagery, most notably in the form of life-sized horse puppets.

The story begins in pre war Devon, England where a poor farmer’s son named Albert lives.

Albert forms a close bond with his horse, Joey, and is devastated when his father sells it to the English cavalry to help earn money and the war effort.

Longing to be reunited, Albert embarks on an incredible journey, which takes him to WWI battlefields as he endeavors to bring Joey home.

Heart & Courage

War Horse is a tale of heart and courage that has been playing to sold out crowds in New York and London for over a year.

You’ll be blown away by not only the storytelling in the show, but by its sets, props and horse puppets.

The life-sized puppets move in such an organic way that it actually feels like there’s a live horse on stage.

Add to that phenomenal acting and costumes, and a ticket to War Horse will be a night to remember.
