Annual Taste of Pointe Orlando

The annual Taste of Pointe Orlando is the city’s premier culinary event and will be held this year on Sunday, April 28th, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

It’s a must-visit for foodies and is also organized to support a good cause.

All the proceeds from the event go to esophageal cancer programs at Florida Hospital.

As the name suggests the event is held at Pointe Orlando, which is one of Orlando’s finest dining and shopping destinations.

Tickets to the Taste of Pointe Orlando are available for $30 from February 1st to April 27th, 2013 and for $35 on the day of the event.

Children are welcome to attend and the event is perfect for picky eaters.

Each ticket comes with a complimentary parking pass and allows you to indulge in unlimited samples at participating restaurants.

This year’s event will feature restaurants and eateries on two different levels.

On the first level you’ll find Tommy Bahama’s serving coconut shrimp and key lime tarts.

Pizzeria Valdiano will be offering various pizzas, and Ben and Jerry’s will be handing out scoops of ice cream.

Other participating restaurants on the 1st level are Maggiano’s Little Italy, The Copper Canyon Grill, The Funky Monkey Wine Company, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar and The Oceanside Seafood Room.

On the 2nd level you’ll find B.B. King’s Blues Club, Fat Fish Blue, Adobe Gila’s and Taverna Opa.

They’ll be serving everything from Mediterranean dishes to southern favorites like gumbo and mac n cheese.
