Annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival

What began, in 1960, as a way to showcase the talents of a few, select local Central Florida artists, has grown into a annual event of epic proportions and one not to be missed - the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival !

Held this year March 15-17, 2013 in Winter Park’s Central Park, the Art Festival attracts more than 350,000 visitors.

  Considered by Sunshine Artist and American Style Magazines to be the nation’s oldest, most prestigious and well-attended outdoor art festivals, the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival attracts top emerging artists in many mediums.

1200 National & International Artists

More than 1200 national and international artists applied for a spot; independent judges selected 225.

The art mediums represented include Clay, Sculpture, Wood, Digital, Drawing, Fiber, Graphics, Oils, Pastels, Mixed Media, Leather, Glass, Jewelry, Metal and Photography.

There are definitely unique, one-of-a-kind works here and something for everyone.

Sixty-two Awards

Sixty-two awards are up for grabs; prize money for Best in Show is $10,000.

This outstanding work of art is purchased by and donated to the city of Winter Park.

Previous Best in Show winners are displayed throughout the City Library.

Other cash prizes are given for Awards of Excellence, Distinction and Merit.

One Award for Distinguished Work of Art is given by the celebrated Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art.

With approval by the White House, Congress, National Endowment for the Arts and more, for promoting art and art education, the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is a grand event and one no Central Florida resident should miss.

There is simply nothing else in the world that equals it.
