Almost Anyone Can Go Bass Fishing at Disney World

If you love fishing, but don’t think you can get a few lines cast while on a family vacation to Disney World you are in for a shocker.

Disney World now offers a guided bass fishing tour.

On this tour you will get the chance to hook and land a fish regardless of mobility issues you may suffer from.

Letís Go Fishing

Take Me Fishing has partnered with Walt Disney World (WD) to provide a catch-and-release bass fishing excursion.

An experienced guide will lead a group of up to five fishers per 21-foot canopied Tracker pontoon boat on a fishing tour.

For a more competitive edge there is Bass Nitro Fishing, which is done on a tournament-style Nitro Bass boat and accommodates one or two people.

The fishing here is not high pressure so it shouldn’t take long for the bass to start biting.

You will find that you group could catch almost a dozen fish during your excursion.

There are also bluegill, catfish and sunfish in the well-stocked WDW waters.

Fishing trips leave as early as 7am with the last boats heading out at 1:30pm.

At this time night fishing is not available.

Mobility Concerns are not an Issue

If you are a guest who plans on using a scooter during your stay in Central Florida you may be worried about not being able to go fishing with your family.

The sturdy pontoon boats that are used will alleviate that concern.

As long as you are able to make it from the marina to the boat on your own accord, or with the help of a walker or cane, you will have no problems enjoying this excursion.

The ample seating is comfortable and safety railings make you feel secure while aboard.

Coupled with the fact that there are jet skis or large boats causing wakes, you can expect a safe and relaxed ride.

Fishing at Disney Perks

Two hour and four excursions are available.

Each person in your fishing party will receive a rod and reel, tackle, live & artificial bait, beverages and a one-year BASS (Bass Anglers Sportsman Society) membership including 11 issues of Bassmaster Magazine.

WDW also pays the fishing licensing fees to the state of Florida so you do not need to go purchase a license.

The opportunity to book a fishing excursion is abundant.

It doesn’t matter if it is January or July, the weather is always perfect for fishing in Florida.

You can head out from nine of Disney’s marinas and head out to fish on the Seven Seas Lagoon or World Showcase Lagoon among other fishing locations.

Enjoy the fishing as well as the spectacular views from the water.
