Toddler-Friendly Spots in Walt Disney World

A lot of people think that there is little point in taking very small children to Walt Disney World, as there isn’t much for toddlers to do there.Of course this isn’t true!

There are plenty of attractions for toddlers at Walt Disney World from rides to shows to character Meet and Greets!!

While all of Walt Disney World is fun for little ones, it can be tricky narrowing it down to the attractions that only the tiniest Disney guests can enjoy. Here are some quick toddler-friendly breakdowns of each of the parks.

Magic Kingdom

Most of Magic Kingdom is a preschooler’s paradise, so you’ll have no trouble finding plenty for your little ones to do here!

Character Meet and Greets is a popular spot for toddlers, so be sure not to miss Enchanted Tales with Belle or Princess Fairy Tale Hall (be sure to grab Fastpasses for these as soon as possible).

Many of the park’s slower, gentler rides and shows are perfect for tiny guests.

Favorites include:
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • It’s a Small World
  • Dumbo
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel
  • The Enchanted Tiki Room
  • The Country Bear Jamboree
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Epcot

Many families with small children skip Epcot, thinking there is nothing for their little ones to do, and miss out on some of Walt Disney World’s most exciting attractions!

While toddlers certainly can’t enjoy the thrills of TestTrack or Soarin’, Epcot is a wonderful place to meet characters, enjoy free coloring/play stations, and even learn a little something!

The Kidcot stations around the World Showcase offer free coloring pages, passport books for kids to collect stamps in each country, and more.

The World Showcase is also home to many of Disney’s best-loved characters!

Many of the Princesses, along with Mary Poppins and Alice can be seen here regularly.

Some attractions that little ones can enjoy at Epcot:

  • The Seas with Nemo and Friends
  • Journey into Imagination
  • Ellen’s Energy Adventure
  • Gran Fiesta Tour
  • The Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan Pavilion
  • Princess Storybook Dining at Norway’s Akershus Restaurant

Animal Kingdom

If your toddler is an animal fan, then there will be plenty to see at Animal Kingdom!

While the little ones can’t brave the adventures of the park’s bigger rides, they can still embark on safari aboard Kilimanjaro Safaris, walk nature trails filled with exciting animals like tigers and gorillas, and enjoy the park’s many shows and spectaculars.

Attractions that can be enjoyed by tiny Wilderness Explorers:

  • Kilimanjaro Safaris
  • Maharajah Jungle Trek
  • Flights of Wonder
  • It’s Tough to Be a Bug!
  • Discovery Island Trails
  • Finding Nemo – The Musical

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Take your toddler onto a trip into the movies at Hollywood Studios where they can enjoy shows, rides, and even a playground that will make them feel like they’ve shrunk down to the size of an ant!

The big favorite here for toddlers is definitely Toy Story Midway Mania!

But be sure to get Fastpasses or to line up first thing in the morning!

  • Toy Story Midway Mania!
