ORLANDO HORSE RIDES

Orlando Horseback Riding FAQs:

Q: What are the ride times?
A: Trail rides leave at 9:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am every morning. For the Western Experience, groups can only book to begin at 11:00am, 12:00 noon or 1:00pm. In the summer, the heat is a factor, so the 1:00 may be uncomfortable until September. We do need at least 48hours for the Experience tours as they require extra staff. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early. For trail rides: the guides may not be back to the barn from the previous ride. Please be patient and someone will be there to assist you.

Q: What should I bring with me?
A: We ask that our guests wear long pants and closed-toed shoes for riding. Your pants will protect your legs from rubbing on the saddle. Please wear appropriate upper layers for the season's weather - you will be outdoors! Helmets will be provided and must be worn - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Q: What if it rains?
A: If it is raining when you arrive for your trail ride, you will be allowed to reschedule if you cannot or do not wish to ride. English lessons are conducted in our full covered arena and will not be affected by minor weather issues.

Q: I have never ridden before but want to, which option should I choose?
A: Western trail rides are the best option for first-time riders and for those looking for a more recreational experience.

Q: I have my own riding gear, do I need to bring it with me?
A: You may bring your own riding apparel, however we do supply helmets free of charge and have riding boots for rent, so if you don't have room in your luggage we will take care of you! Non-Riding Tour FAQs

Q: What if the weather is bad? (Hot, Raining)
A: All of the activities are under cover and will not be affected by rain or heat. Guests will not have to be in direct sunlight or rain once inside the facility. It will be warm in the summer months and can be cold in the winter. Please dress appropriately.

Q: Can we bring our own food?
A: No. Packages with lunch are available. Any food must be provided by the resort. There are soda and snack machines in the tack shop.

Q: Can we buy something to remember our trip?
A: Yes! Our tack shop is open from 9 AM until 6 PM and has a wide selection of equestrian clothing and Equestrian Center souvenirs. We can also special order personalized merchandise for your group!

Trail rides have more limited availability so the further in advance they are booked the better. With 48 hours notice we can usually accommodate groups. In the summer the heat and the biting flies need to be taken in to account when booking a riding time, so we typically do not have trail rides after 11 AM. For groups we make special arrangements. If we have the availability we will not turn away a same or next day ride, however we will be more likely to have space for English rides last-minute.

We have several breeds of horses and ponies in the barn. Arabians, Appaloosa, Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, a draft cross and several warmblood breeds. We also have Welsh ponies and crosses. Some of the horses in our barn are boarded there and are not owned by the resort.
