Cowboy Heritage Festival A Free Family Friendly Event

Updated: 29 Aug 2013 01:30:11 AM

Capping off a weekend of rodeo and ranch-themed events, the Cowboy Heritage Festival will be held on September 28th outside Silver Spurs Arena from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The Cowboy Heritage Festival is family friendly event that is totally free to attend and organized by the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, which is a local state charity dedicated preserving the history and heritage of Florida cattlemen.

The entire listing of specific events and exhibits has not yet been announced, but visitors will be able to learn about Florida’s history through a series of informative visual displays and imagery.

There will also be an exhibit dedicated to unique cowboy art, as well as performances by live actors and musical acts.

Live Cowboy and Ranching Demonstrations

In past years, the Heritage Festival has included live cowboy and ranching demonstrations that offer a glimpse into the everyday lives of both modern day and 19th-century ranchers.

In addition to all the festivities and exhibits, numerous food outlets and Western-themed vendors will also be on hand, allowing you to browse through a lot of unique merchandise that you wouldn’t normally find at a shopping mall.

The Cowboy Heritage Festival is both an educational and entertaining event that is a great way to introduce people of all ages to the cowboy and ranching lifestyle.

The daylong event will be held at a series of stages and tents outside Silver Spurs arena and ends at 6:00pm, just in time for the Ranch Rodeo Finals at Silver Spurs Arena.
