Disney Performing Arts Program

Updated: 17 Aug 2013 03:00:00 AM

Since 1955, Disney Performing Arts has granted invaluable opportunities to over 30,000 performing arts groups from across the United States and, indeed, the world.

With locations in both the Disneyland Resort in California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, the Disney Performing Arts Program offers aspiring young singers, dancers, actors, and musicians the chance to fine-tune their craft and learn from Disney's performing arts experts.

Successful alumni of the program include actress Jennifer Morrison, School of Rock’s Caitlin Hale, and musicians such as Jerry DePizzo, Mike Scheuchzer, and jazz artist, Jessy J.

Sponsored by the National Association for Music Education, Disney Performing Arts offers programs for students in elementary (beginning at age 7), middle, and high school, as well as a series of programs for college students.

Students will participate in a series of informative workshops, competitions, festivals, and events geared to help them develop and perfect their interests and aptitudes in the performing arts.

Open to students specializing in singing, theater, dance, instrumental music and much more, the programs offer the chance to perform live in front of audiences at Walt Disney World or Disneyland!

As well as building their performance skills, students will also learn technical aspects of the business from Careers in Costuming to workshops on Auditioning to Puppet Lab!

Classes and workshops are offered in two and three hour formats to instrumental, choral, and dance ensembles, marching bands, and theater groups.

Pricing varies depending on the program, ranging between $60 per person to as high as $1000 per group.
