Disney Performing Arts Workshops

Updated: 17 Aug 2013 03:15:05 AM

As part of Disney's world-class Performing Arts Program for elementary, middle, high school and college students, teachers and directors from around the world can enroll their students into a hands-on workshop taught by the very best of Disney's performing arts experts!

Choose from dozens of workshops in any of 4 disciplines – instrumental, vocal, dance, or theatre – that will help your students develop the fundamentals of performance, fine-tune their techniques, and start to explore just what goes into a career in the performing arts.

Topics for this year's workshops include acting, dance (ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap), auditions & careers, costuming, puppetry, music, Broadway production, musical theatre, auxiliary, choir, improv, and much more!

Technical Courses Available

As well as performance-building workshops, more technical courses are available that will take students backstage at shows like Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba and into recording booths to teach them about the importance of what goes on behind the curtain.

Offered in both the Disneyland Resort in California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, workshops are available to instrumental, choral, and dance ensembles, marching bands, auxiliary units, and theater groups.

Pricing varies depending on the program, ranging from $70 to $225 per student.

Most workshops are offered year round and each has its own age and group size requirements, so be sure to check out the details for each offered course.
