Experience Opera and Ballet on the

Big Screen at the Enzian Theater

Maitland, FL

The Enzian’s Opera and Ballet on Big Screen Summer Series is now showing opera and ballet for the next few months while the local art groups take their break for the summer. 

The Enzian Theater is presenting a variety of films featuring both opera and dance featuring world-renowned companies.

Coming up on July 20 is Kenneth Branagh’s The Magic Flute, the story of a pair of young lovers and their destiny that may help determine the fate of nations and save many lives.

In August, one of operagoers favorite double bill will be Calvalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci (Teatro alla Scala) will tell the story of the betrayed clown Canio.

This show received raves from The Wall Street Journal including “It wasn’t just good - it was magnificent.”

Also in August, Ballet lovers can enjoy, La Bayadere, featuring the Bolshoi Ballet.

A heartwarming story of impossible love between Nikiya and the warrior Solor set in the lush and exotic country of India.

September will bring the ballet by La Scala Ballet, Notre-Dame Paris, inspired by Victor Hugo’s novel and returns after more than 10 years since its last performance and features two of ballets most famous stars, Roberto Bolle and Natalia Osipova.

Tickets are only $20 but if season passes are bought there is a substantial discount.

All shows start at 11:00 am Saturday mornings.
