Kowtown Festival

Kissimmee’s Kowtown Festival is taking place on March 16th 2013, 11am – 5pm.

Held in the historic streets, this year the Kowtown Festival is celebrating 130 years since Kissimmee’s birth.

The festival is in Toho Square in downtown Kissimmee.

In the celebratory spirit there will be a birthday cake that everyone can enjoy!

Fishing Tournament

A fishing tournament, live music, and a kid’s zone all make for an exciting time.

The festival is sure to be a great day out for visitors to Florida and local families.

BBQ Cook-Off

The highlight of the day is a BBQ cook-off.

If you want to enter, it is $200 per person to join in all 4 categories, (ribs, pork, chicken and beef brisket) or $65 to enter one round.

There is up to $5000 available in cash and prizes! Entrance forms for the BBQ cook-off are available online.

There are also baked beans and sauce, and dessert competitions.

Fun Event

These events are great fun, and it is well worth getting involved.

Some people want to help out, as a food or drinks vendors, forms for these jobs are also available online.

If you enjoy fishing, why not try the famous Kissimmee bass fishing tourney.

Prizes are available for the best catches!

Kids will definitely not be bored as there will be lots of activities and games for them to get involved with.

If you are going to be staying in Kissimmee over March, this festival is highly recommended. It will be an enjoyable and memorable day out.
