Disney Princesses Overview
A Disney Princess is everything a girl hopes to be: intelligent, kind, beautiful, and brave.
It is important to remember that, despite being called princesses, not every Disney Princess is of royal blood.
Heroines like Belle, Mulan, and Tiana were not born princesses, proving that any girl can become a princess, too!
At Walt Disney World, every little girl's dreams to meet the Princesses can come true, as they each make appearances all over Disney World's four theme parks.
The Princesses can be found at designated Meet and Greets, riding beautiful floats in parades, and at several of Disney's Character Dining Experiences.

11 Official Disney Princesses
The recent coronation of Brave's Princess Merida has brought the number of official Disney Princesses up to eleven:
- Snow White – The very first Disney Princess and, some would say, still the fairest of them all.
- Cinderella – Still the most popular of the princesses, Cinderella is able to find her happily ever after with a little help from her fairy godmother.
- Aurora – The graceful and romantic Sleeping Beauty.
- Ariel – The Princess of Atlantica, Ariel yearns to leave behind her life as a mermaid and live in the human world with her true love, Prince Eric.
- Belle – Bookish and brave, Belle from Beauty and the Beast is able to see where the true beauty in people lies: on the inside.
- Jasmine – The stubborn and beautiful princess of Agrabah from Disney's Aladdin.
- Mulan – Disguising herself as a man and joining the army, this heroine is able to save not only her father, but the Chinese empire, as well.
- Pocahontas – The daughter of the chief of the Powhatan tribe, Pocahontas becomes a hero by spreading a message of peace.
- Tiana – A hardworking relist, this New Orleans girl proves that if you work hard, your dreams can come true.
- Rapunzel – The shy, but adventurous princess of Corona from Disney's Tangled.
- Merida – The feisty, Scottish redhead from Disney/Pixar's Brave.
