Boma a Taste of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Come enjoy a taste of Africa at Boma, located inside the Jumbo House of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Serving up cuisine from over 50 different African nations, Boma will have you running to the buffet to fill up your plate again and again!

Animal Kingdom Lodge is worth a visit, even if only for it’s magnificent lobby, which will make you feel that you have truly entered an African hunting lodge.

Boma is located just to the right of the lobby, accessible by the lovely, wrought iron staircase or elevator.

The restaurant itself is reminiscent of an open-air African market with thatched "huts" dividing its extensive buffet into different courses: salad, hummus and dips, meats, sides, and dessert.

The dining room itself is warm, open, and natural and, in the evenings, moodily lit by the fires used for cooking!

There is a free Animal Kingdom culinary tour everyday at 4pm.

Dishes & Desserts

Dishes at Boma include traditional mealie bread authentic African soups and stews, fresh salads, vegetarian options, roasted salmon and other market-fresh seafood, and wood-fired meats such as Durban-spiced chicken and prime rib.

Be sure to try the desserts!

The runaway fan favorite is the Zebra Domes – coffee-flavored ganache truffles!

For breakfast (7:30 am – 11:00 am), you will find American favorites like pancakes and scrambled eggs alongside African pastries, Kenyan coffee, and traditional corned beef boboti (just to name a few dishes!)

After your meal, be sure to talk a walk around Animal Kingdom Lodge's back veranda where you will enjoy views of the Sunset Savannah and its exotic inhabitants: giraffes, zebras, and more!
