Funnel Cake Stand in the American Pavilion

If you are looking for a carnival-style snack while walking through Disney's Epcot, or if you want to be a bit naughty and have something sweet for lunch, stop by the funnel cake kiosk in the American pavilion.

Order one of the mammoth, fried-up treats with your choice of powdered sugar, apples, chocolate sauce, or ice cream.

Funnel Cake Stand

And not a little scoop of ice cream, either, but a slab that is sure to draw startled looks from people who see you carrying your snack.

What’s a Funnel Cake?

For anyone unfamiliar with this particular treat, a perennial favorite at carnivals and circuses in North America, a funnel cake is simply sweet dough drizzled into a fryer and cooked to golden brown perfection.

Originally a Pennsylvania Dutch confection, the funnel cake fits right in with the America Pavilion's colonial-style theming.

Funnel cakes are available at kiosks in each of the four parks at Walt Disney World, but the stand at Epcot is the only place in Walt Disney World where you can special seasonal flavors: Strawberry in Spring and Summer and Pumpkin Spice in Fall and Winter.

Other Carnival Treats

Also available at the stand is cotton candy, another carnival favorite, fried ice cream – a scoop of vanilla ice cream covered in honey and crushed cornflakes, flash-fried to create an ooey gooey treat that is both hot and cold and fully delicious.

Though many guests simply bypass straight through the American Pavilion, it is worth a stop, if for nothing else but a taste of America.
