Katsura Grill in Epcot’s Japan Pavilion

Hidden away in the beautiful gardens of Epcot's Japan Pavilion, The Katsura Grill offers casual Japanese in a counter-service location offering both indoor and outdoor seating.

The menu at Katsura is standard Japanese takeaway with many sushi, udon, and teriyaki dishes, as well as miso soup, edamame, curried rice and okonomiyaki (a savory Japanese pancake).

The kid’s meal includes teriyaki chicken, rice, veggies, and a soft drink and dessert. Speaking of dessert, options at Katsura include ice cream (either green tea, azuki bean, or strawberry) and Matcha Roll Cake – a light, fresh cake flavored with green tea.

Fast Food Restaurant

Recently renovated (the former site of Yakitori House), Katsura is sleek and modern for a fast food restaurant, but the loveliest seating is that outside in the gardens.

The peaceful waterfalls, koi ponds, and Japanese cloud trees make Katsura a beautiful and out-of-the-way spot for lunch in the World Showcase.

Alongside the standard soft drinks, water, and juice, Katsura also offers sake, plum wine, and Kirin beer.

Outdoor Sake Bar

As an added bonus for adults, there is now an outdoor sake bar in the Japan Pavilion offering both hot and cold sake, smoothies, imported beers, and plum wine.

Tip: Often missed by Epcot guests who are not even aware its there, Katsura is truly a hidden gem for those craving Japanese, but vacationing on a budget.

Simply travel the garden path up the hill behind the pagoda and you will find the tile-roofed, tea house-style restaurant.
