Nighttime at Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom closes earlier than the other parks, but there is still plenty of fun to be had here right up until closing time.

Due to the sensitivity of the animals in the park, there are no nightly spectacles or fireworks displays.

Instead, try taking in the last show of one of the musicals here in the park.

Broadway Musicals

Lion King Festival

Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo – The Musical are Broadway – caliber shows found right in Animal Kingdom, and admission comes with your park pass.

The later shows’ audience may have less small children, as they are performed around dinner time.

Dinner & Drinks

Speaking of dinner, Animal Kingdom’s table service restaurants are worth a trip to the park just to eat there!

Tusker House, a character dining experience at breakfast and lunch, turns into a decidedly upscale buffet at dinnertime.

Spit-roasted meats (you can’t miss the “Wall of Flames”), fresh salads, stews, and plenty of vegetarian options are some of the generous offerings here.

African wines and specialty mixed drinks are also available for guests 21 and older.

If you just want to try the drinks, the Dawa Bar, located by Tusker House, is a perfect spot to try African wines, Tusker Beer, or a cocktail.

If you are craving Asian food, Yak and Yeti is the spot for you.

This themed restaurant, housed in a village home, has something for everyone.

The choices on the extensive menu may include sweet and sour chicken, pot stickers, Kobe beef burgers, and delicious vegetarian dishes.

If you hold a Park Hopper Pass, because of the earlier closing times of Animal Kingdom, you may even have a chance to enjoy closing time at this park and head to another park to close that one down, too!
