Flying School Coaster at Legoland Florida

All clear for takeoff!

Make your way toward the bright white and red flight tower for one of the stomach-flipping experiences of LEGOLAND Florida!

One of LEGOLAND’s biggest coasters, Flying School, is part of the interactive experience of the Lego City area of the park.

In Lego City guests have a chance to try their hand at three different activities – driving, boating, and flying - all geared toward kids, of course!

1,000 Foot Long Inverted Coaster

This over 1,000 foot long coaster is situated toward the back of the park, and towers over The Big Test Show stage.

The daring riders on this coaster sit with their legs suspended in the air, which adds to the feeling of flying.

Don’t’ worry though; riders on the inverted coaster are secured with a safety harness over their shoulders.

The coaster was originally built for Cypress Gardens and was called Swamp Thing, but was renamed and got a Lego makeover when the park converted to LEGOLAND in 2011.

Five Story Climb

The ride starts with a five-story climb, which powers the rest of the twists and drops for the rest of the fun ride.

Each Flying School ride takes about a minute and half to traverse the track, reaching a top speed of about 25 miles per hour.

Because this is one of the bigger rides at the park, you can expect a wait, which ranges in time depending on how busy the park is.

Riders must be at least 44” tall, and at least 52” to ride solo.

Make your way to Flying School and get ready to experience the thrill of flight!
