Mel’s Drive-In at Universal Studios Florida

Mel’s Drive-In at Universal Studios Florida is a time warp back to the 1950s and was inspired by the diner of the same name featured in the classic film American Graffiti.

The burger and milkshake joint feels like an authentic 50s diner both inside and out.

Classic Cars

Classic cars are parked outside of the sleek, mid-century exterior and on select days live oldies and throwback bands that set up shop in front of the restaurant’s entrance serenade visitors.

Inside, checkered floors will greet you, a jukebox playing the golden oldies and classic diner booths.

The menu at Mel’s matches the decor perfectly.

Counter Service Restaurant

Cheeseburgers, hamburgers, French fries, onion rings, chicken sandwiches, soda floats and milkshakes make up a majority of the menu.

The hearty fare averages out to $6.00 - $10.00 per person, with a cheeseburger and fries combo at just $6.29.

Mel’s Drive-In is a counter service restaurant and is quick to serve customers, so it’s a great place to fuel up before an afternoon of exploring Universal Studios.

1950’s Diner

Even if you didn’t live through the 1950s and 1960s, Mel’s is sure to put a smile on your face.

Mixing all-American cuisine with classic rock'n'roll and a healthy dose of nostalgia, the drive-in offers a fun and delicious way to experience Americana at its finest.

Mel’s Drive-In serves lunch and dinner daily and is a meal deal participating restaurant.

It is located in the Hollywood section of Universal Studios on the corner of Hollywood and Sunset.
