Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Every Halloween parents are faced with the same tale-old question, “What do we do with the kids?

Many events are too gory and intense for younger children.

This frequently leaves you are left with limited options, neighborhood trick or treating or private parties.

There is, however, an alternative.

Parents seeking to give their child the best Halloween should head to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom theme park for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Very Child Friendly

Magic Kingdom is transformed into a Halloween extravaganza ideal for children of all ages.

Smiling pumpkins and cheery ghosts fill the park for a great night out.

There is free face painting for the whole family so you don't even need a full costume.

Watch cute ghouls and zombies execute spooky dance performances, and appearances from traditional terror movies, like the Headless Horseman.

And of course, there are meet and greets from all of the character classics such as Mickey Mouse, The Seven Dwarves, and Cinderella; as well as some recent additions to the Disney crew, like Jack Sparrow.

The party begins at 7:00pm and continues until midnight.

Parade & Fireworks

There is even a Halloween themed parade and firework show.

The parade starts around 8:15pm, so try to get to the park early enough to get some trick or treating in before the big show!

The Happy HalloWishes Fireworks begin at 9:30pm.

A few things to note for attendees:

  1. The event is held in the Magic Kingdom.
  2. The event does require a separate ticket in addition to your park admission.
  3. The event is held on select nights from mid-September to the beginning of November.
  4. Tickets range from $63 to $79 and do sell out fast.
  5. Halloween night is usually the first night to sell out.
  6. Prices are dependent upon the age of the child.
  7. Costumes are allowed for guest of all ages and even adults are allowed to
    trick-or-treat.
  8. Trick or treat bags can be purchased near the entrance to the park-get them early because they go fast!
  9. There are over a dozen trick-or-treating locations scattered throughout the park.
  10. Remember that these tickets will sell out! sell out!

Magic Kingdom New Halloween Desert Party

When you purchase your Halloween Desert Party package remember to head over to the Will Call booth just outside of the Magic Kingdom entrance between 4:00pm and 7:00pm to pick up your spooktacular credentials.

Here you will have exceptional views of the fun floats and kooky-spooky Disney Characters dressed in their Halloween best.

A separate Event Party Ticket is also required, and is not included in the price of the package.

The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show is being brought back from the abyss and will give ghoulish enthusiasts a lot of laughs and maybe a spell cast upon them.
