Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure

Disney may be best known for their classic animated films, but they’ve been behind quite a few small screen hits as well.

Phineas and Ferb is a popular animated children’s show that has recently taken the title as the Disney Channel’s longest running original series.

The program revolves around the characters of Phineas and his English stepbrother Ferb as they embark on various adventures.

Along with the protagonists, the show features regular appearances by Phineas and Ferb’s sister Candace, Perry the Platypus (a.k.a “Agent P”) and the evil scientist Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz.

Riding on the success of the show, Disney has developed a new interactive mission-based game at Epcot in Disney World.

Help Agent P defeat the Evil Dr. Doofenschmirtz

In the game, you will help Agent P defeat the evil Dr. Doofenschmirtz through a series of missions scattered throughout the World Showcase at Epcot.

Currently, the game supports missions at the Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Japan, France and United Kingdom Pavilions.

In the future, Disney World plans to expand the game to the Canada, Italy and USA Pavilions.  Each mission lasts approximately 30 minutes and is suitable for children over 6 years old.

Field Operative Notification Equipment

To begin the game, you will be issued a F.O.N.E. (Field Operative Notification Equipment), which is a cell phone provided by Verizon Wireless.

The F.O.N.E. can be shared with another person and will first play the backstory to each mission.

As the story goes, Phineas and Ferb are on vacation with their family and have taken Agent P with them.

Their vacation destination can be any of the previously mentioned pavilions and each mission uses locations and facts from a specific country to craft a series of assignments.

Every assignment comes with its own short animation and a series of clues to lead you to an intended location within a single pavilion.

Along the way, you’ll learn facts about the country you’re visiting.

Interactive Game

For instance, when embarking on the Japan mission, Ferb will educate you on some of the rules of sumo wrestling.

The F.O.N.E. is able to track your location and additional clues or assignments will be triggered once you reach the right location.

Once you’ve completed all the necessary assignments, you’ll receive a special thank you from Phineas and Ferb before returning your F.O.N.E. to a designated drop box.

This type of interactive game is relatively new to Disney World and adds another aspect to the Disney World experience.

Popular with Phineas and Ferb fans, the game allows you to explore Epcot’s World Showcase in a new way and learn about other cultures all at the same time.

It is educational, entertaining and appealing to parents.

Compared with Disney World’s other interactive games, Phineas and Ferb Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is not as tricky and only requires one piece of equipment.

Additionally, each mission is centralized within one pavilion as opposed to an entire theme park or ‘land’.

As a result, it can be played and enjoyed by younger children who will revel in the opportunity to take part in Agent P’s missions.
