Plan Your Day at SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando offers a much more laid-back experience than other Orlando theme parks with casual dining, few lines, and plenty of animal exhibits to spend time observing and maybe even touching the park’s beautiful wildlife.

However, a day at SeaWorld does still require some planning, especially if you want to experience as much of it as you can.

Here are some tips to help you make the most of a day at SeaWorld Orlando!

Be Sure to Check Show Times

As a lot of the action at SeaWorld Orlando focuses on live animal shows, it’s a good idea to plan your day around the shows you don’t want to miss (the most recommended shows at SeaWorld are: Blue Horizons, One Ocean, and Pets Ahoy!)

Check SeaWorld’s website in advance to check park hours and the show schedule of the day you plan to visit or check the back of the park map once you get there.

Arrive to Shows Early

It’s always a good idea to arrive at SeaWorld theaters early (about 10-30 minutes early, depending on how crowded the park is) to ensure that you get great seats.

Try to do Rides in the Morning

SeaWorld may be known for its live animal shows, but it also has some thrill rides that are a must for any theme park lover! Try to ride the extraordinary flying coaster Manta, the Kraken, and Journey to Atlantis in the morning when the park is less crowded.

SeaWorld’s newest attraction Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin currently draws some of the longest lines in the park, so unless you have a Quick Queue Pass, you may want to hit this attraction first.

You may get wet!

Nothing can make a theme park experience more miserable than getting wet on the wrong day.

You will get wet on Journey to Atlantis, especially if you sit in the front! If your trip falls on a chilly or rainy day, you may want to skip this attraction or request that you sit in the back rows where you’re not as likely to get drenched.

When you see “Splash Zone” signs inside SeaWorld theaters, take heed!

Guests sitting in these seats will get SOAKED!

For many, this is part of the fun and can be quite welcome on a hot summer day, but other guests may not want to spend the rest of their visit in soggy blue jeans.

Plan accordingly and also remember that you can always bring a poncho!

Go With the Flow

Don’t stress out too much about your day at SeaWorld where unique and extraordinary experiences are the major draw.

Don’t get so wrapped in timetables that you forget to enjoy this park and its beautiful animals!
