Beat the Crowds

Crowds of people can really put a damper on a vacation.

Luckily, there are plenty of ways to beat the crowds.

For one, you should plan to go in September, as the park usually isnít that busy.

Aim to go after Labor Day as students will be in school and people will be less likely to travel.

If September does not work, the key is to avoid holiday and school break times as that is when the park tends to be busiest.

Another way to avoid the crowds at Universal Studios is by arriving before they open.

The park does not open until 9 a.m. but you should try to get to the gates at least 15-20 minutes early.

Getting to the parks early is a great way to make time for high-traffic rides that will have extremely long waits during the day.

Despicable Me, The Simpsons, Men in Black, Revenge of the Mummy and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit are all rides that usually have long lines, so be sure to make time for them earlier in the morning!

Purchase Tickets in Advance

It is best to purchase tickets in advance rather than at the gate when you arrive at the park.

Not only will it potentially save you some money, but also it will save you a lot of time.

Instead of having to wait in a long line of people just to buy your ticket, purchasing one in advance allows you to gain immediate entry so you can focus on more exciting things, such as which ride to hop on first.

Hidden Gems

Universal Studios is bursting with hidden gems that guests should be looking for.

Steven Spielberg can be found in the Men in Black attraction.

Before entering the scanner, youíll be able to see him sitting on a bench reading the paper. When the paper drops, aliens will be holding his head!

More hidden gems await you at Revenge of the Mummy.

Although Kongfrontation was shut down many years ago, a few treasured artifacts from this beloved ride can be found in this attraction.

Be on the look out for scattered bananas, along with two giant ape hieroglyphs located near the outside of the giant Anubis.

Located on the table before the stars, there are stacks of gold coins with Kong on them.

Money Saving Snacks

A great way to suppress hunger in the parks without spending a fortune is by opting for the souvenir popcorn bucket and drink cups.

These can be refilled throughout the day at various locations without paying a single penny.

If you plan on eating more than one meal at the park, you may want to invest in one of their meal plans as it will save your a great deal of money in the long run.

Secret Entrance

Is there a secret entrance to Universal Studios?

Yes, there is! It is located near the Blue Man Group, right under the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

This is a very small booth and few people know that it exists.

Compared to the main entrance, the line isnít near as long, which means youíll get into the park much quicker.

Go Solo

Single rider lines are available at most of the attractions and rides.

In most cases, they have the ability to cut wait times to an average of ten minutes or less.

You may have to split up from your party for a short period of time, but it will surely be worthy it when your wait time is drastically reduced.

Taking on the help of these tips will help you save time and money at Universal Studios.
