Universal Studios Resort is Getting A Water Park: Volcano Bay

The long rumored water park has been a talking point for years in Orlando.

Well the rumors are finally being put to rest, Universal Studios has officially announced that they will be adding 53-acre water park to their resume in 2017.

Construction has already begun on this project and you should expect to see a volcano rise from the earth relatively soon.

With this new park, which will be conveniently located just south of the Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Universal is looking to redefine the water park experience.

This will be the 5th water park open in Central Florida.

Wet N Wild is closing at the end of 2015.

Tropical Islands Setting

The difference at Volcano Bay is that it is expected to make guests feel as if they have been whisked away to a picturesque set of tropical islands, formed by a massive volcano.

There will be something for every member of the family.

The park will feature a mixture of innovative attractions and peaceful, relaxing moments.

A waterfall cascades from the top of the park’s massive volcano and into the wave pool below.

You can also expect to summit the volcano and make your way back down on a waterside.

There will also be a lazy river, rapids ride and a number of waterslides.

Additional information about Volcano Bay will be released as the Universal Studios Resort works on its final plans.
