Florida is home to many spring training sites for the big league teams.
They only use the ballparks for a month, so the remainder of the season many of these ballparks are then used for minor league baseball.
The Threshers is one such team that plays their games a Bright House Networks Field in Clearwater.
Their parent club, the Philadelphia Phillies, had the stadium built the same time their new ballpark in Philadelphia was being built.
It is in fact a replica of Citizen’s Bank Park only without the upper levels.

Additionally there are a number of players on the Threshers that are on the MLB pipeline list, meaning that there is the potential that you may be watching a major league legend in the making on the field.
Many of the people of Clearwater fans are retirees from the north, many of who are Phillies fans.
When they move to Florida many quickly become Threshers fans.
Once you're a fan of your hometown team you quickly become fans of any affiliated teams.
The concessions at the Threshers games are Philly type food such as Cheesesteaks and pizza from a local pizza shop whose owner is from Philly.
They also off Yuengling on tap, which is a beer brewed near Philadelphia, but they also have a brewery a few miles away in Tampa - right outside of the University of South Florida.
If you are a beer lover, the ballpark has a “Beers of the World” with over 100 beers from all over.
Don't be afraid to try a local brew while you are here.
There is also a tiki bar in the outfield with high top tables where you can sit, enjoy a few beers and watch the game.
The ball game is only one way to enjoy yourself at Brighthouse Networks Field.
As long as there isn't a 23-inning game -as was the case in 2011 against the Jupiter Hammerheads- you will find that this is a great evening trip opportunity to enjoy a ball game and then relax under the stars on Clearwater Beach.Find the Clearwater Threshers game schedule here when available.
