The day before the Daytona 500, the Xfinity Series holds a 300-mile race at the World Center of Racing.
The race is known as the Alert Today Florida 300.
The event is the biggest on the Xfinity Series schedule as many of the Sprint Cup racing stars that race in the next day’s Daytona 500 race in it against the Nationwide regulars in a 120 lap thriller.
The Xfinity Series is the “Triple A” of NASCAR.
The series is the next step down from the Sprint Cup and typically follows the “Major Leagues” around the circuit.
They normally race on the day before the Sprint Cup even, giving many of the top drivers the opportunity to race in both events which is what most decide to do.
Grandstand tickets on the front stretch are normally available right up until the day of the race.
The speedway recently renovated its seating and now all ticketholders can enjoy wider, more comfortable seats than ever before.
Another good way to enjoy it is to spend the day or night in the infield.
You can but a ticket for the entire weekend and stay overnight after the 300 and be there for all the action the next day.
The Xfinity Series is some of the best racing of the entire speed weeks, as the Sprint Cup stars are not worried about “points racing”.
For them it is “checkers or wreckers” as we all saw this past February.
This is one event that you do not want to miss.
So if you are going to be in Florida during the winter months, get your tickets for the Xfinity Series at Daytona.
