Places to Watch Fireworks for Free at Walt Disney World

The Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot put on spectacular fireworks displays with music and various park performances every night. The crowds that accompany them have become infamous.

It can be very difficult to find a comfortable place in the parks to watch Disney's nightly fireworks where you can escape the claustrophobic crowds while still having a great view.

Thankfully, there are some GREAT viewing places outside of the theme parks for those days on your trip when you do not have a ticket to one of the three parks with firework shows.!

Here are some of the best places where you can watch Disney's fireworks for free:

Places to Watch Fireworks for Free at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, FL 32830 US

Telephone: 407 939 5277

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

If you want to experience Epcot's Harmonious without paying park admission, then you're in luck!

There are spots at Disney's nearby Boardwalk Resort that offer (albeit limited) views of the nightly spectacular.

The bridge just past the ESPN Club on the Boardwalk is by far the best place to get a view of Harmonious, which usually runs at 9 pm.

Other options include in front of Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls. Continue towards the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin until you reach the bridge connecting the two resorts. The bridge is an excellent place to see the Epcot and Hollywood Studios fireworks. Alternatively, travel oppositely past the ESPN Club to the bridge connecting the BoardWalk and Beach Club resorts and see the performance.

If you are driving to the resort, you will need to pass by a security booth.

Simply let the guard know that you wish to view the fireworks and they will tell you where to park.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Sit back and enjoy Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks show Wishes on a breezy beach!

By far the best spot to watch Magic Kingdom's fireworks for free is the beach behind Disney's Polynesian resort where you will also be able to watch The Electrical Water Pageant float by at 9 o'clock!

Simply park at the Polynesian (again, letting the security guard know that you want to watch the fireworks), park, and make your way down to the beach for the show! There is a direct view of the castle and all of the surrounding fireworks.

The beach even features speakers that pipe in Wishes' music so that you don't miss a beat!

Other spots in the Magic Kingdom resort area where you can watch Wishes include the observation deck at The Contemporary (only if you're dining there), the beach at Fort Wilderness, or the dock by Narcoosees at The Grand Floridian.

The Transportation Center

If you are finishing up your day in the parks and want to watch Wishes without actually having to visit the Magic Kingdom, then the Transportation Center is certainly an option.

For the best view, stand down by the Ferry Dock.

Your Hotel

Many hotels both on Disney property and in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando offer views of Disney's fireworks.

As you hotel-hunt, be sure to read room descriptions as there are some rooms that provide you with a private viewing of the fireworks each night of your vacation!

Disney Springs

Yes, Disney Springs is free with parking also free!

There may not be any rides but there are plenty of souvenir shops and attractions to keep you easily entertained for a full day.

While strolling through these streets you can rock out with some of the street musicians or take a pit stop and build LEGO skyscrapers while overlooking the water.

You'll even be able to board a water taxi, which will whisk you away on a 30-40 (loop)minute ride on one of the Sassagupla water taxis that will either take you to Disney's Caribbean Beach resort French Quarter and Port Orleans. The other water taxi goes from Disney Springs to Saratoga Springs resort & Old Key West resorts. Maybe, you'll google Disney Springs resorts, to see which one you may want to enjoy the ambiance Disney is so famous for.
