Daytona 500 Transportation Service

Daytona 500 will once again return to the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach for its 59th annual Nascar racing event.

It is thought to be the most prestigious and visited Nascar event in the world. Known as The Great American Race, the event will take place on the last Sunday in February, on the 26th.

While this event will be an exciting and anticipated one for many, it will also create a whirlwind of traffic throughout the area due to the high attendance, which seems to grow year after year from its first event in 1959.

Heavy Traffic & Major Delays

Interstate's I-4 and I-95 are expected to have heavy traffic, as well as several other roads in the area, causing major delays.

There will be several road closures and many detours as well, creating even more congestion on the road.

Along with this, several pedestrians will be present trying to make their way to the Speedway.

So be sure to allow yourself ample time to get to the race and drive with caution, as drivers will need much patience as they make their way through the surrounding area.

Law Enforcement

For added security for the event, law enforcement officers will be helping to direct traffic to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

They will be stationed at many of the exits, ramps, and intersections surrounding the race to help move traffic along.

Another measure will be taken this year to alleviate some congestion.

Several traffic control experts will be on standby to monitor traffic patterns in order to send out more law enforcement officers to trouble areas, and adjust traffic lights to add additional green time as needed.

While this may provide some relief, you should still expect major delays on your way into the Speedway for the event.

Take a Shuttle and Avoid the Madness

In an effort to alleviate some of that frustration and bottlenecking on the highway, We are offering roundtrip transportation services from a number of Orlando Hotels around the area, as well as nearby shopping centers.
