Daytona 500 | Race Tickets & Transportation

NASCAR Daytona 500 February 18, 2018

The Daytona 500 is NASCAR’s most prestigious race and showcases the sport’s finest competitors.

We will be providing transportation to the track from central hotel pick up locations in Orlando, Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista tourist areas.

First held in 1959, the race spans 200 laps over the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida, to reach 500 miles.

Sometimes called the Great American Race, it is held annually on the last Sunday of February.

An estimated 250,000 people attend each year, while it also garners a television audience of over 12 million households across the country.

Sprint Cup Series Race

The Daytona 500 is unique in the world of sports in that despite the fact that it is the biggest race on the NASCAR calendar, it marks the start of the Sprint Cup Series rather than the end.

It also features a unique qualifying procedure.

The final race on Sunday is the culmination of a week of timed trials and qualifying races that determine the starting positions for all the drivers.

First, the front row is locked following timed trials a week prior to the race and the rest of the positioned are finalized four days later through two twin qualifying races.

A truly all-American sport, it’s only fitting that NASCAR’s biggest event of the year be held in the South, where the idea of racing stock cars around a track first began.

Over the years, The Daytona 500 has enjoyed a surge in popularity.

Coming a long way from its roots in the 1950s, the race currently holds the highest purse in NASCAR at over 19 million dollars.

Winners can now expect to take home approximately 1.5 million dollars from the event.
