Serengeti Plain at Busch Gardens

Few places in the world feature more natural diversity than the Serengeti.

The expansive region has been the subject of countless documentaries that have helped bring its beautiful landscapes and animals closer to home.

If you’re lucky enough to visit Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the park’s own version of the Serengeti much closer to home.

65 Acre Animal Habitat

Its Serengeti Plain is a legendary 65-acre animal habitat that is home to hundreds of animals including rhinos, zebra, antelope, giraffe and more.

There are several ways to traverse the plains, including the skyride, Serengeti Express and the Serengeti Safari.

The latter option allows you to get very close to the animals in an experience you won’t soon forget.

Serengeti Safari

The Serengeti Safari will take you on an open-top ride through the plain where you’ll find yourself feeding 16-foot tall giraffes and getting within mere feet of rhinos, ostriches and more.

The dynamic experience makes you feel like you’re on a true safari.

The opportunity to view these amazing creatures in such a natural setting and interact with some of them is unmatched in the United States and is the next best thing to traveling to Africa.

Seats on the safari are limited, so booking ahead of time is strongly recommended.

Due to the nature of the experience, all passengers must be at least 5 years old.

This particular experience is also not included with your Busch Gardens entry ticket and an extra supplement is required.
