The Halloween themed movies are cult-classics and the maze you will enter, if you are brave enough, is sure to be one that you shouldn’t miss.

There was a similar maze in 2009, but this one will have a few additional twists and surprises that guests from a decade ago didn’t experience.

A Classic Scare Film

In 1978 the silver screen was forever changed when John Carpenter introduced the world to Michael Myers, a young boy who changed what slasher films looked like.

When he escaped a psychiatric hospital and returned to his hometown he quickly continued down his path of murderous exploits.

While the movies contained much less gore and graphic violence than other films in the genre, the use of lighting and suspenseful scenes can evoke fear from almost anyone.

The movie was so successful that it eventually led to seven sequels.

What's In Store?

As you enter the maze you will find yourself entering the he town of Haddonfield on Halloween night in 1963.

When you make it into Myers’ childhood home, completely stained in blood, you will also come upon the killer and his trademark knife.

As you make your way down hallways and through each room on the house expect to come have the serial killer to seek you out as his latest victim.

There is no safe space within the confines of this maze and no one is target.

This fear inciting experience will give you goosebumps and the new crime scenes are certain to keep you on edge.

The event begins at 6:30pm and ends at either 1:00am or 2:00am depending on whether it is a premium/busier night or not.

Admission to this event is not included with Universal Studios tickets.

5 Scarezones

One of the most scream-inducing aspects of this annual event is without-a-doubt the scare zones, which are also known as street experiences.

Unlike the haunted houses, scarezones are designated areas throughout the park where creepy creatures roam freely so guests can tip-toe into some of the most pulse-pounding moments from their favorite television shows, horror movies, historical events and much more.

Each street experience is elaborately decorated to enhance the scare factor for each and every visitor that dares to venture through the zones.

Abundant with masked killers and gruesome gore, this years brand new lineup of scarezones are certainly just as frightening as they are memorable.

The Harvest - In the Harvest, guests make their way into a sinister barn, which is filled with props and images for each of the 10 haunted houses, and is populated with "foul and decrepit creatures" that are looking to reap a harvest of flesh and screams.

Vamp 85: New Year's Eve - A sequel to Halloween Horror Night 2016's Vamp '55 Scare Zone, Vamp 85: New Year's Eve continues the nostalgic scares but this time vampires invade on New Year's Eve. As the ball drops, you'll dodge blood-sucking monsters, all outfitted in their best '80's outfits of course.

Twisted Tradition - Things are certainly twisted in this scare zone. The jack-o-lantern infused area isn't what it appears. The closer you look at those pumpkins that more that becomes clear. The pumpkins are fused together with human flesh, and the worst part is they are decomposing!

Revenge of Chucky - Everyone is familiar with the iconic 80's red-haired Chucky movies, and this year, he is coming back to exact revenge in his scare zone. Taking place in a toy fair, these toys don't just want to play, they want to carve you up. With Chucky in command, be prepared for unwelcome toy revenge from the red-haired killer himself.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space - These clowns are not what they seem to be, so watch out because that tempting smell of cotton candy is far from sweet and tasty. Those cotton candy cocoons are spun with human victims inside, grotesquely consumed by the Killer Klowns. Escape or feel the unsugary wrath of their cotton candy rayguns and fall prey to their sweet hunger.
