Walt Disney World works very hard to make your visit there memorable and enjoyable.
For this reason, Imagineers and others have worked very hard to make it easy for you to get around the vast area that makes up Walt Disney World and the four major theme parks within.
Once you are on Disney property, getting around on their complimentary transportation system is a breeze.
If you are a guest at one of Disney’s resorts, the transportation is complimentary to each park or attraction.
However, if you are staying off property you may simply drive to and park at each theme park or the Ticketing and Transportation Center.
From the parking lots you can take advantage of the trams that will pick you up at the end of your row and transport you to the ticketing counters.
From here you can either enter the park or take advantage of Disney’s extensive transportation system to get you to where you need to go!
For a fee Disney offers express bus transportation between select backstage areas of all four parks.
From the Transportation and Ticket Center you can take Disney’s innovative monorail system to either the Magic Kingdom or Epcot.
You can also take advantage of one of their 600 person ferryboats to transport you to the Magic Kingdom.
Other ways to get from park to park include water taxis and buses.
The buses run constantly throughout the day and can get you from park to park, a themed area such as Downtown Disney, or back to the Ticket and Transportation Center.
Also, if you are staying at a Disney resort and arriving by plane, you can start your vacation traveling on the Magical Express Disney’s complimentary bus transportation to your resort.
Even though the area of Walt Disney World is large, once you figure out the transportation system you will be surprised how easy it is to get from place to place.
If you ever have a question about how or when to get somewhere, Cast Members are eager to answer any question you may have and help you make the most of your vacation at Walt Disney World.
